I received it fairly quickly, set it up according to instructions, and it immediately started making loud grinding noises. I Upon further inspection, the machine was broken in several places which may or may not have made the noises. Either way, it was damaged beyond use when I received it. Returning the item was fairly easy other than the hassle of having to take it to Fed Ex.

Often have to send a request for printing something twice or more and this is the slowest printer I have ever had to work with in my entire career. I wish I never had bought it. The years worth of free ink in retrospect is not able to compensate for my frustrations. I found an old HP printer at a yard sale that works so much nicer. This is the first HP product that I have been dissatisfied with all my years in needing printers and computers.

Other than price, what are the differences between the 8025e and the 8035e? The descriptions in the side-by-side comparisons are identical.

Thank you for your question! The HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e has every feature the 8025e has and it also includes a USB port for printing from/scanning to a USB drive and includes 12 months of Instant Ink from HP+ instead of 6 months as found with the 8025e.

Does this printer have a USB port where I can insert a USB data stick? If so, can I print documents and/or send outbound faxes for documents that are recorded on that USB stick?

You can print from a USB stick using the USB port on the left-hand side near the front of the printer. If you opt-in with HP+ during the setup using the HP Smart app, which is free, you get the HP Smart Advance app also at no additional cost. That gives you access to Mobile Fax which allows you to send faxes from files at no cost and not need a fax line connected to the printer. That is only for sending and not receiving.

Is this printer able to print on 300 gsm cardstock paper without any issues?

Hello Lana and thank you for your question! The HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e supports the following paper weights: 16 to 28 lb (plain paper); 60 to 75 lb (photo); 20 to 24 lb (envelope); 90 to 110 lb (card). It is not recommended to use paper weights in access of 110lb. As 300 GSM translates approximately to 140lb this printer is not recommended.

will this printer print black only if the color cartridges are low or out of ink?

Hello. Thanks for your question. You need some ink in all of the ink cartridges to print anything with this HP Officejet Pro 8035e printer. It helps protect the printheads.

Thank you for your question! Yes, the 8034e is replacing the 8035e. The 8035e is a great printer but is being discontinued and replaced with the 8034e.
