My 3830 Office Jet , HP Printer
It has been just about a month since I started using this printer and I am very pleased.. My last printer was sensitive to different thicknesses of Printer Paper, this seems to handle any I have used thus far.. and it prints quickly. I am very satisfied with it.. Thank You, HP.

Great features!
I bought my printer a few weeks ago and I love it! It's a printer, scanner, copier, and fax machine. I can print any document from any of my devices because it is wireless. I also thought that I would need a landline for my fax and you no longer need that. I love how my ink is being shipped to me as well. I dont ever have to go get ink or worry about being out of ink.

Changing print cartridges?.? Not fair to custome.
I spent $100.00 buying new print cartridges for my previous HP6790 printer. When I installed the cartridges, in my old printer and the print head failed. I was forced to buy this #3830 printer that would not take the cartridges I just bought.
If this is the way you treat your customers, I’ll look for another brand next time I buy a printer...

Color frustration
I have had these printer a couple weeks now. I had issues with it not printing color UNLESS I used eprint. Just when I think I have the kinks worked out, I get a “printer not connected” message even though it shows a WiFi connection and can still print from my phone. Now it is back to printing, but not in color again. About ready to box I up and send it back. I never had any issues with my other printer which was NOT an HP. I purchased HP thinking it would be easy. But it is driving me crazy and I am not a computer novice.

Works Great
So far I have scanned some documents and printed some and it worked great. The only thing that disappointed me was downloading the actual app at the HP website. I ended up finding it on Microsoft instead...this is for my HP laptop.

Poor product
I bought this printer brand new from HP.I went to set it up & the printer jammed.I could not see any paper jam.I have to return it.I am getting another one I pray this one doesn't do the same thing

I like my HP - the only thing that I don't like is when I scan from the printer it puts it as a jpg - need to have this as a pdf - my computer is in one room and my printer in another so I do a lot of back & forth - I do wish that the paper supply was in the front.

worked good at first
only had it a couple of weeks and it worked great at first. hardly used it much when i got a notice it was low on ink. went in next room to check it and material I was printing was mostly a black mess with a little pink. must not have been more than a few drops of ink in cartridges

Horrible Printer
I bought this model after our previous model died. We really didn't want anything too complicated and had originally just hooked it up to our computer. Well this ended up being wi fi enabled. It took me nearly 2 hours to hook it up to both computers with a rep and with our wi fi. Since then (we bought it in January) we have had to call 6 times because the printer refuses to print, states its an error state, doesn't recognize our computer, and doesn't recognize our wifi. It has caused lots of stress and frustration at home and with my business. I will not be buying this printer again. Also, it sucks ink and the ink is very expensive. I honestly spend close to $100 on ink a month, even with their saver program. Waste of money.

I bought this to replace a Deskjet 1512 which had finally given up the ghost. I am 90 yrs old with limited vision so the small screen is really difficult to work with. How about an info pamphlet? I am using an early 2009 MaMini with os 10.11.6 and no support from Apple. Can you please supply a driver to allow me to get color printing from the new 3830? I love HP printers but I need a little help with this one.

Does this printer print 2-sided?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer does not support automatic two-sided (duplex) printing. However, it does allow for manual duplex printing, where you can print on one side, then reload the paper to print on the other side.
