Rated 1 out of 5 by Billjs from Decent product poorly packaged I received this "gift" from Hewlett-Packard as part of a poor experience I had with two different printers, each received damaged even though they were brand new. After the second attempt, I advised Hewlett-Packard that I no longer wanted to try for a third time at buying an HP printer and simply wanted my money back. I guess they felt I was a disgruntled yet cooperative customer and gave me a gift card to spend in their online store as a way of saying "sorry". Well, I received eight 500 sheet packages of HP printer paper and a computer backpack, both in the same shipping box. The paper packages were improperly secured within the shipping box and bounced around during shipment causing several to arrive torn open and several corners of paper ruined. These 500 sheet packages of paper are heavy yet some poor soul at the warehouse though he/she could prevent them from bouncing around the box during shipment by throwing in a few lightweight plastic bubbles packs AND using my new backpack as a cushion. The photo attached displays what I saw upon opening the box. My backpack is underneath the 5 packs of paper (starting from the bottom of the photo). I hoped they would have sent the backpack separately so that it too, did not get crushed during shipment but, alas, it was not meant to be.

what does "20 lb" mean in the description for paper? Does 500 sheets weigh 20 lbs?

Thank you for your interest in the HP MultiPurpose20TM, 20 lb, 8.5 x 11 in paper. It helps give an idea of the thickness of the paper of the paper within the ream by how much the total ream weighs. If your printer shows that it recommends paper weight from 16 to 24lb, then this would be within the recommended range.

HP MultiPurpose 20 (115100, HPM115R) seems to be jamming in two of my HP OfficeJet printers. This is a recent with two of your boxes of paper purchased thru Costco. I cleaned the rollers but it seems to still be happening.
