Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin Delaware from AFFORDABLE AND FAST Affordable and fast. This is customizable by HP and I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and the video screen to 300 nits. The PCMover program was simple and moved everything pretty fast. The only thing I had to do extra was install a Windows 11 printer driver. I am happy, just remember everything can be customized and I didnt upgrade to a back-lit keyboard. No big deal but this isnt standard on this model. Great for everyday use, but wouldnt call this a heavy gamer or editing laptop. Also a Microsoft Office license is extra, but I bought the whole deal rather than monthly subscription. Some could just use google docs but Im still old school with some stuff.

Have it now for a couple of weeks… updated the new Windows 11 and have spent many frustrating hours attempting to set it up… have not used it yet since I need guidance to get the simplest things like email set up. Cannot figure out how to get icons/applications on the screen.

One issue that frustrates me is that my screen background changes from my saved photo to random screens that are not mine. I have to continually change it back and can not find a fix. HP or Windows? Windows 11 minor changes, but the change to shutdown was a pain until I figured it out. I have used my older HP Envyx360 more than the new one as a result. Also boots up much slower.

But it is still, according the tracking info, sitting on a dock in California. You should have done something to fix that, waited to send me a survey

Rated 4 out of 5 by Solomon G from Solid buy Good laptop, solid performance, however the body is a bit too flexible, so if o stand it on one leg, the track pad doesn’t click, because the housing flexibility is too much, otherwise very satisfied. Easy setup, works well, holds battery for about 9 hours during normal use.

I can't afford an expensive gaming system so I did some research and got the closest to it without the mega-expense. I've added a 5T-byte stand-alone SSD along with 16G-byte RAM. I have over 100 RPG and FPS games installed thru GOG Galaxy and they all work flawlessly. This is a great laptop!

Thank you for your question! As consumer demands for laptops lean towards slimmer, lighter, and longer battery life, internal DVD disc drives are no longer being offered. An external USB is a great option for this.
