Perfect for travel
It is great for what I need. The only thing I didn't realize is no DVD player. I copied a game I love to play on a flash drive (no DVD) but can't make it work on my laptop. I'm not understanding that.

Decent laptop but TOO safe & no support
Well performance wise it's pretty neat little laptop it's got lots of options and if you extras and it's barely quick and snappy and there's not a lot of lag on however this is very important you must, you must research your laptop that you're buying because it might be a type S..
A type s unless you already know, is kind of like training wheels you can't just download anything you want or install anything you want it has to be from the Microsoft store... And not judging the Microsoft store but there's not a lot of options there however it's safe because everything in there is verified by Microsoft to not miss your computer up so on one hand you have a very safe computer and as long as you do whatever they want what does training wheels you can't fall off the bike. And on the other side it's a nightmare because there's not a lot of stuff or things or extras for this computer on the Microsoft storage like they have generic versions of really good games or generic versions of really good apps and then there's some decent Microsoft versions but there's not a lot of them and you're not allowed to install any old thing. Oh and dealing with HP as far as support goes. 🤣🤣🤣 Good luck . My HP 14 won't connect to the internet anymore because the network Wi-Fi adapter or driver not sure which one stopped working and when I tried to correct this issue I can't get a hold of anybody at HP because it's the weekend and I guess for my particular model the Wi-Fi driver you can't download it doesn't exist ... So yeah I'm being pretty generous when I give three stars I'm kind of mad right now too

Always a nice product
I'm returning to school and needed a reliable easy to use laptop so I purchased this wonderful machine. It's been very easy to use and understand it's fast I like the keyboard and I would recommend it to other people looking for a reliable inexpensive laptop

Poor performance
I was seeking a new laptop for business use - I stream content online. I was assured this laptop would work for what I needed it for, but I feel I was seriously misled. It can't stream simple YouTube videos without buffering (my other devices can just fine - it's not the internet connection), and it is worthless for the main website that I work on, which kicks you off if you fall below their frame rate guidelines. I am now stuck with a laptop that is almost worthless for anything except simple web browsing. 1 star because it's at least powering up and will allow simple web browsing.

Can all apps be added when S mode is removed? Is Microsoft Edge included in this laptop?
Hello. Thanks for your question. When you switch out of S mode on the HP Laptop 14 with Windows 11 Home, you can install apps from sources other than the Microsoft Store. This means you can add a wider range of applications to your laptop once S mode is removed. We do recommend looking at the system requirements of the apps you intend to use.
Yes, Microsoft Edge is included with this laptop. It comes pre-installed as the default web browser on Windows 11.

In the Microsoft Store, click the "Get" button on the "Switch out of S mode" page. A restart is required after the switch. It is recommended to check the Microsoft Support page for the latest system requirements to ensure this PC is recommended for use with Windows 11 Home.
