Nice Upgrade
Upgraded from an older HP printer. I always get nervous when I do this in fear new printer may not be as good as former. I was wrong. It was easy to set up a d it works great.

Not what I expected.
I was expecting something conveniently constructed to make it easy for the user. I don't like the small paper tray and I don't care for the photo set-up. I made a lousy choice. I feel like I went back in time instead of buying something more modern and convenient. I dislike the whole configuration, but I'm stuck with it now.

Worst Printer, Worst Customer Service, Worst Company Ethics
The 7900 Envy is the worst printer I have ever owned. It has a huge footprint and it is always offline and needing to be reconnected to the network. It is a piece of garbage and I would never recommend it or any HP product. I was basically tricked into getting this by HP Customer Service because my old HP Envy 4500 (nine years old and had performed great) wasn't working properly and they assured me that this was what I needed. I didn't. HP Customer Service out right lied to me and said the old printer was obsolete and not supported and I needed this new 7900 . I'm not supposed to include any review of customer service in my product review but I have reached out several times trying to contact someone at HP and have not been successful. So maybe someone at HP will see this and realize they have a bunch of unscrupulous employees in their customer service department.

Nice printer but…
Prints nicely, but scanning feature is a bit underwhelming due to an unreliable sheet feeder mechanism. Have been using HP printers for years, but quality control may have taken a backseat on this new model.
