Good Computer
I am very satisfied with the HP EliteBook. I had only one glitch when setting up the HP, I needed this one to be alone from my other HP's and did not.

Confirm Restore Points, Image Backups or Factory Restore Partition!
This computer was great out of the box, but about 2 weeks in, the operating system became corrupted beyond repair by any of the usual tools. Without any restore points, image backups, or even a factory restore partition, the windows media creation tool had to be used to reinstall windows and download and reinstall all the drivers. Not sure how to check for this upon unboxing, but wanted to be sure HP and buyers are aware!

Good laptop
I like my 845 G10. It’s a good laptop. I like the case, the matte screen and the keyboard. Bonus points to HP for not putting stickers. A few annoyances: the hp telemetry services that come back with each windows update. H P should fix that. Then Wolf Security. I had to reinstall Windows ringer rid of all traces of that, including the firewall rules that were not removed as part of the uninstall. And finally the horrible Wolf Security boot logo. It’s creepy and looks unprofessional. Fortunately there is a script in the client management script library to replace it, but really, HP? Please provide a BIOS option.

HP's Support Botches an Otherwise Great Laptop
I ordered two of these laptops with expedited 1-2 business day shipping. It took four business days for the laptops to arrive. Strike one.
One of the laptops arrived with a manufacture flaw in the LCD display panel over an inch long that should have been caught during the quality assurance process. Strike two.
A call to customer service and I received a label to print out and ship back. I ship it back the same day I received it, and three days later HP had the laptop back to verify the defect before shipping me a replacement. It took me several calls and a couple of weeks to finally get a replacement in. Strike three.
The laptops were advertised with a standard three-year warranty. In the HP support assistant and looking the laptops up by serial number on HP's website reflect only one year of warranty.
Additionally, I paid extra for a three-year next business day onsite warranty. Those warranties were to be delivered electronically. That never happened. I have tried to rectify twice through chat support and on the calls previously mentioned for the defective laptop. Still no fix on the warranties.
THE REVIEW WOULD BE AT ZERO STARS BY NOW IF IT WERE NOT FOR HOW GREAT THE LAPTOPS ACTUALLY ARE! That is why I am leaving two stars. HP, please fix your logistics and customer service.

Ok laptop
I bought this to replace a Thinkpad that died a couple weeks out of warranty. I heard good things about the EliteBook product line as a good alternative business laptop vs. Thinkpad (and my annoyance at Lenovo wrt. warranty).
So far, this EliteBook is ok. The compute performance is fine. The computer is kind of heavy for its size. There are unresolved driver bugs (AMD graphics) that cause rendering issues in MS office and other technical software I use.
The keyboard layout is stupid and annoying. The arrow keys are half size, and page up/down fill up the other half space. So when I'm just trying to edit text, I end up jumping all over the page. The fn and ctrl keys are next to each other, so I frequently get the wrong behavior on those.
The battery life is abysmal for a portable workbook. I would say that I get <2 hrs of life under normal usage patterns.

BAIT AND SWITCH
I ordered a unit with a touch screen, but received something else. Second time this happened during the past 6 weeks. When I sought an exchange, sales rep wanted me to pay twice the price for a comparable unit. Bait and switch. The first unit I ordered on Black Friday was less than $700. The second $1,200. This time HP rep quoted a price of more than $2,000.

I would not recommend HP products
The sound is terrible as the speakers are located on the bottom of the laptop in the middle, like other business laptops where they are either on top or underneath but at the very front so the sound comes towards you. You will definitely need a Bluetooth speaker or headphones due to this design flaw.
Also, HP has been unable to help me get this laptop to stay connected to a wireless display. Elite tech support bounces me around from one person to another and nobody has an answer as of yet over one week now.

Elite book suddenly turned off
it was suddenly turned off without warning. I was creating a document which is lost.
After I powered on again, it shows the bit locker asking for pin which I don't have.

Dented and crooked elitebook
Received damage laptop in the mail. This was my first elitebook purchase, and may be my last. At first the exchange process was easy I sent pics and they immediately set up a replacement order which did not ship right away. Almost 2 weeks later and still hasn't shipped. This laptop was recorded for my business ASAP.
