Great buy- Great and responsive touch monitor
The monitor works as indicated. The only thing that was not mentioned was to use with my computer I had to use both HDMI and Video cables. Once I used them, the monitor worked perfectly. The touch is responsive.

Solid Business Display With A Great Stand
Solid monitor (literally.. I mean it's kind of heavy for a 24", lol) but snapping the monitor into the stand head is a little difficult and awkward. Price is also a tad high for a Full HD (FHD, a.k.a. 1080P) IPS 8-bit non-HDR monitor in 2024 -- just realize a chunk of that extra cost goes into the stand that allows for every kind of tilt, rotation, vertical up/down, even rotating into portrait mode for those processing a lot of documents, etc. There's also two USB 3.0 Type A ports in the back and comes with all every sort of cable: power, VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB 3.0 Type A (plug into PC or dock) to Type B (plug into monitor to bring those two USB Type A ports alive).
Lastly, know that there are several variations of the E24 G5, such as ones that are 1920x1200 (E24i), have USB-C (E24u), are touchscreens (E24t), are QHD (2560x1440) (E24q), and more. Some of these variations are available in other sizes, e.g. the E22 models that are 22", though the E24 line has the most variations. The Z models are the top-end ones and Pro sits below Elite.

What is the ethernet port used for?
If your device does not have an Ethernet Port you can use the one on the Monitor for Ethernet connection, provided you use the USB-C port for connection to your device and your device has the proper USB-C or Thunderbolt connection.

What are the dimensions of the screen?
The monitor's dimensions are (W x D x H) 21.24 x 1.91 x 12.73 in. Which does not include the stand. That screen itself will be the 24-inch diagonal.

I purchased an HP E24d G4 FHD USB-C Docking Monitor, for the purpose of replacing the Monitor on my Deck connected to an HP Tower. Can my new Monitor be connected to my Tower, or is the new Monitor only for connecting to a Laptop??????
That monitor will work with any Tower that has USB C DisplayPort support, standard DisplayPort, or HDMI and matches one of the resolutions available to it. It would only be a problem if your tower only has VGA and/or DVI support.

How can I use this monitor to be a second screen and not a larger display screen of my laptop?
Thank you for your question! Using this monitor and a Windows PC you have the ability to extend or duplicate your screen. It is uncertain what is being asked but extending the screen makes the display larger so you can open different programs and have them on your host PC and the other on your display. The duplicate option simply duplicates your host PC screen.

Is HP E24d G4 FHD Monitor compatible with a mac laptop?
It is not designed for Mac. If the Mac laptop model you have supports USB-C DisplayPort 1.4, it should work. You could also try a converter for Mac. In this case, it may be best to ask Mac Support what type of displays the Mac laptop will work with. Nothing on the monitor would prohibit the device as long as the output on the device matches one of the inputs on the monitor.
