Product is miserable, and I am an HP fan
This is the fifth ink jet printer from HP that I’ve purchased in the last couple decades. It is awful. The instructions are terrible. The display is too tiny. I’ve tried to cancel the automatic ink replacement to me which I should have never signed up for, and I can’t get it stopped.

Make that sale! Then dump the customer.
This company could improve by offering live product support. Not a chat, not an email option or a phone number provided. In this age, don't we all just want a real human? I was glad to read that one reviewer commented on difficulty with return because I just saw that my DeskJet 4152e was returnable only during the first month. It's a flimsy piece of crap. (I am sorry though that the one reviewer had difficulty with return.)
It was a nightmare to set up! My husband, who is a techie, couldn't get it to go even though both of us were working on the 2 hour problem. We chose not to waste any more of our precious time and energy on a cheap piece of crap! Despite their online tutorials, we just don't have the time or the interest. It's out in the garage now, ready to go into next weeks trash pickup.
HP offers all this product support, but it is not forthcoming. I positively despise this company!

Functional.
It is certainly not like my previous copiers as far as quality of the product. It is very easy to set up and does collate and print clearly. It is noisy when printing. The ink cartridges that came with it had minimal ink.

4155e. Live expert says printer can be set up using USB. Instruction book says must be set up w/Hp Smart & Internet connection and stay connected. Which is correct? I have lousy DSL and cant keep printer on internet.
This HP 4155e can be setup via a direct USB connection. The Live Expert is correct. If the PC in question has Windows 10 or 11, most installs can be informed by plugging in the printer via USB and turning the printer on. The driver normally auto-downloads. Thanks for your question.

Can this printer be used to print shipping lables?
Thank you for your question! The recommended paper weight for use with this HP Deskjet 4155e is 20lb. This will support Letter: 16 to 32 lb; HP envelopes: 20 to 24 lb; HP cards: up to 110 lb; HP 4 x 6 inch photo paper: up to 145 lb, however. Typically labels weigh more than the recommended paper weight for this printer, so this printer is not recommended to primarily print labels. The HP OfficeJet Pro will be your best option for that. However, if printing labels infrequently this printer should be fine.
