Do not buy- PRINTER DOES NOT WORK--waste of money
The printer arrived later than expected. I connected it to my computer and no matter what I did it would NOT work. I went online to find out information and discovered I needed to download an app to get the printer to work. I downloaded the app and found out it was going to cost me about $80/year more to have the privilege of using the printer. I called HP support and was on hold for over 30 minutes when the line went dead. The worst printer I've ever had. I bought my first inkjet printer when they first came out. I've had many between then and now...but I've never had to pay for the privilege of using the printer before especially after I already purchased the printer. It seems that you have to buy the printer, buy the ink, then "rent" the printer in order to use it . Needless to say I disconnected the printer and put it back in the box. I want to return it but there's nowhere to return it to because I cannot get hold of HP and tell them what happened and why I want my money back. If I could give the printer NO stars, I would. This printer is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN HP. I WILL NOT BUY AN HP PRINTER EVER AGAIN.

It's good for its sale price
W/B printing is good, Scanning W/B document is ok. Color printing seems not good but acceptable for me because I may not do much on color printing. I didn't try anything else.

My son is going off to college. Can other student devices locate my son’s printer and send their documents to his printer without his permission? Also, can this printer (additionally) be set up as wired so he could just plug in his laptop in case WiFi
This HP Deskjet 2755e All-in-One Printer can be set up wired via USB. If your son has the printer on a personal WiFi system then this situation cannot happen, unless he lets them on his network. However, if he is in a dorm and uses the dorm's WiFi then yes possibly that can happen.

WiFi Direct allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network.
