Do not buy- PRINTER DOES NOT WORK--waste of money
The printer arrived later than expected. I connected it to my computer and no matter what I did it would NOT work. I went online to find out information and discovered I needed to download an app to get the printer to work. I downloaded the app and found out it was going to cost me about $80/year more to have the privilege of using the printer. I called HP support and was on hold for over 30 minutes when the line went dead. The worst printer I've ever had. I bought my first inkjet printer when they first came out. I've had many between then and now...but I've never had to pay for the privilege of using the printer before especially after I already purchased the printer. It seems that you have to buy the printer, buy the ink, then "rent" the printer in order to use it . Needless to say I disconnected the printer and put it back in the box. I want to return it but there's nowhere to return it to because I cannot get hold of HP and tell them what happened and why I want my money back. If I could give the printer NO stars, I would. This printer is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED IN HP. I WILL NOT BUY AN HP PRINTER EVER AGAIN.

W/B printing is good, Scanning W/B document is ok. Color printing seems not good but acceptable for me because I may not do much on color printing. I didn't try anything else.

what knd of ink carteridge does it use?
This printer uses the 67 standard and/or the 67XL ink cartridges. If you opt-in for HP+ during the initial setup using the HP Smart app, you will get free months of Instant Ink that you can use as another option. Is this printer able to print on both front and back sides of a paper?? I tried looking and also going over and over the manual trying to find info on how to change settings. Unless I missed it.. please point me in the right direction on solving this.
That printer does not have an automatic option for duplex printing. You would want to follow the instructions on this link https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2486497-2193233-16 for how to do it manually. It does say LaserJet at the top, but this is the same method for any unit that does not have auto-duplex capabilities.

Will this unit print in BW only (for instance if the color cartridge is out of ink)? Will it print "draft/grayscale" quality that uses less ink? Do all functions (including scan) work with Mac OS 13.2.1?
