It said BLACK ink - and it was BLACK ink
952XL Black Ink – The product came in a package that although was slightly difficult to open (no loose panels or tabs to grab hold of and tear) was exactly what I expected, a plastic container that I assumed contained black ink. After properly inserting the plastic container in my printer and printing a test page, the ink appears to be black. It appears to be the proper darkness so as to be legible on the page.

Good ink
I ran out of black ink and bought a brand new cartridge for my HP 8730. Works like a charm, since at an office Depot store in 2019 or 2020 the cartridges I bought were only half or 3/4 full (surprise);. Everything works great! Will be online again to order the 3 other colors that this printer takes, besides black, but they're ok now

I bought my HP printer a couple of years ago and am delighted with the quality, the ease of use and the ease of replacing the ink in this machine. My printer gives me terrific service and is extremely reliable. The only problem I have had is with the "scan to email" feature which no longer works and I cannot figure out why. However, I solved this problem with my telephone. I have absolutely no complaints about other features of this printer and strongly recommend it.
