"Ain't nothing like the real thing"
I was tempted to purchase a less expensive ink which stated that it would be compatible with my HP printer, but I decided against it since I have always went with the original HP ink because I know it is the real deal. HP printer ink has always been satisfactory for me and I have had great results with its use and performance.

Bad Experience
I bought a new magenta cartridge from Best Buy. It lasted one week until I got warnings that I was out of magenta ink. I bought the 3 pack next and just reinstalled. I am not happy that the original cartridge was obviously defective and there was not way I could exchange it.

Ink was fine; the purchasing took days with on line chat and telephone calls; delivery took a long time. Two weeks later I received an email that delivery was taking place again. I needed again to spend hours on phone and chat to end that order.

Received HP 951 Cyan.
The two cartridges I purchased arrived and the boxes they came in were hot. Installed them and printer still says I’m low on ink. The two cartridges didn’t have a protective strip. I still installed them. Disappointed in HP for sending bad cartridges. May switch printers if this is how they treat their customers.

Cartridge ran out too soon.
All the required cartridges were purchased and installed at the same time. The cyano cartridge ran out and the others still had 80% ink left. Obviously, the cyano cartridge was defective and ran out prematurely.

I received the ink very fast from HP
It was exactly as described. I rely like the quality and features of my HP Office jet pro 8600. The ink cartridge installed easily and I am back up and running. I got a great deal by going online and htting the right day and talking to a helpful customer service person to get the best value for the money spent.

A Good Product... But!
the HP printer products have been VERY GOOD to EXCELENT for many years. However, I truly object to the fact that when one of the cartritages in my HP 8600 printer/scaner runs out of, say yellow ink, the printer WILL NOT print, not even for a black and white letter (no colors). This means that I must always have a complete supply of black and colored ink on hand. I don't do a LOT of printing and it seems like I get 9 or 10 months usage from a high capasity cartrige. That is about $100 dollars worth of ink that i must keep on hand. Before I buy my next printer I will ask if it the new printer will continue to print in black when one or more of the colors are empty.

These comments are to cover not just the cyan ink cartridge, but the yellow and magenta ones I ordered as well. No complaints on any of them. They are easy to install and work just fine.
