I also purchase the larger single ink cartridges at times for use with my business and church needs but don't want the ink to get dry and not be as useful as it needs to be for my photos. I like the diverse choice of the 3 ink package as well as the single ink cartridges and at times I use the XL cartridges when I'm printing many photos.

The value has not increased by 24% so I consider this a price gouge. I'm going to take my business elsewhere. I USED to feel that HP gave you good value for your money — that no longer seems to be the case. One set of ink cartridges cost nearly as much as the printer they go into.

But there are a couple issues that reduced my rating. 1) They are WAY overpriced. 2) If I use other brands of cartridges that are made for this printer they don't work due to the printer being set up to not accept anything but HP cartridges. I feel these are not mutually exclusive, and that HP is doing this on purpose so they can charge a lot more for the cartridges. And that just ain't cool man.
