When I put one of the color cartridges in the printer, it showed that the cartridge was almost empty. To double check, I put in the second color cartridge in the printer and it showed that the cartridge was full. I have lost track of the invoice, so I doubt I will try asking for HP to replace the empty cartridge, but I won't be buying cartridges directly from HP any more.
