Working next to a vacuum
I don't know if it is defective or it is meant to be like that. after 6 hours with HP technician doing updates and plugs. this finally work without faulty message that is not bid enough. and the loudness improved a lot. it went from an airplane to a Vacuum. I don't know you, but I cannot work with a blender buzzing next to my ears.

Stay with the older Docks, this is not ready for prime time
Worst Docking station I ever used. I tried it on 3 different HP laptop, all ZBook Fury models from brand new to a few years old. The new Fury G1i has a Thunderbolt 5 port, the other have a Thunderbold 4 ports.
It works intermittently, most of the time during the boot process the USB connected monitor is not recognized and I have to open the laptop, fiddle with the screen setting or unplug / plug back in either the Thunderbolt USB cable or the monitor cable. Great experience when 'just' want log in and join a meeting.
Every other docking station I used before from the $100 Targus or the old HP docking 'bars' worked without a hitch, but this 'prototype' only works after you spend 15 minutes every morning or after a reboot to get it work.
In an effort to get around the USB Monitor issue, I used the 2 DP monitor outputs for my 2 Dell QHD monitors, that was even worse, the monitors would be black out for a few seconds than came back about every minute.
But it does have its entertainment value, every few minutes the internal fan(s) or something else comes on and makes a short farting or grunting noise.

Nice dock, excellent desktop connectivity.
Nice small footprint, easy connectivity. Good looking formfactor compared to normal blocky docks. Initial usage was a bit clunky with three external monitors. Sometimes one of the monitors would not receive signal, it could be seen within windows but it would not receive any video output, but it seems that the latest firmware has resolved that issue. Since last firmware update that issue has not presented itself again.

Never got to use it...
I ordered a top of the line ZBook laptop and two port replicators. Both the original ZBook and a replacement were both bad. I am waiting on HP to ship me a third. I haven't even been able to connect the laptop to the port replicator because I've been too busy with hardware troubleshooting and dealing with exchanges via HP's worst-in-class customer support.

Does the included USB-C cable support DisplayPort MST and will it allow me to daisychain from the connected laptop?

Is this Thunderbolt 4 Ultra 180W compatible with a HP ProBook 16" 460 G11 laptop, as I need enough power for my 3 screens (1-27" and 2-24")? With the G-5 dock I do not get the full 1920x1080 resolution that my Element EMF2FPABXXB monitors are capable of.
Will this dock work with a Thunderbolt 1/2 monitor? My older Spectre computer (2018) connected well to my 2 apple monitors with usb T/B. I can't get my brand new Spectre with Thunderbolt 4 to work with these monitors. Hope this dock will fix the issue.
