Lacks adequate installation instructions
The cartridge came with a HP Office Jet 3830 Printer. I had lots of trouble installing the ink cartridge because the instructions did not show which protective tape segments need to be removed and which ones needed to remain on the cartridge. I called HP and after listening to my situation, the gentleman said that he would send me a replacement cartridge.

I have been using HP products since the year 2000. I have thier HP printer 6600 and use thier hp cartridges as well as a HP Computer PC desk top. I tried to save money by purchasing a cheaper cartridge that was compatible to my hp printer cartridge. They always jammed my printer and ran out of ink to quickly. Since then, I buy only HP cartridges. There was only one time that I purchased an XL set of cartridges in where the ink ran out within one month where they normally last up to 6 months. When I called HP representatives, they quickly and without hesitation, replaced the entire package and made good on the defective cartridges. I will never buy anything other than HP products from now on. Thank you Hewlit Packer.

Although it is expensive I buy 2 cartridges at a time. I also buy the XL red, blue and yellow. It always seams to run out and I have nothing to replace them with so I buy 2 each. I have to buy HP's as to have the original cartridge refilled they will not work in the HP printer. The printer will not accept the original cartridge being it was refilled. The printer doesn't accept it. Being a senior citizen and on a fixed income I can only afford to buy cartridges after my income tax comes back. I can't afford to buy them from Best Buy or Staples are too expensive and they never have the XL's and are usually don't have the 933 or 932's in stock.

Best performance
I have found by experience that it's best to use brand-new cartridges as compared to using recycled/refilled cartridges. I always replace a used up cartridge with brand-new original HP ink cartridges and have never been disappointed.

Terrible
I thought buying factory direct was the way to go, but these cartridges are useless. My printer doesn't work and the error code says it's due to faulty cartridges. Theres no less than one star option, so they get one, but buyer beware!

I buy my printer ink from HP all the time. It's good product and I have an HP printer so it only makes sense to purchase it from HP. The cartridges last a long time. Great performance
I only buy HP printers. I only buy HP ink for my printers. When I tried other recycled cartridges and they either don't fit or don't perform like HP ink. I will never buy any other printer or ink.
