Enrollment
How do I become an HP Rewards member?
Open an account and become a member of the HP Rewards program by registering here or with a Call Center agent, by simply providing your name and email address. HP Rewards is currently offered to US residents only; effective October 2020

Private Store, Marketplace programs, Employee Purchase Program (EPP) and HP Employee Purchase Program (HPEPP) purchases are not eligible to participate. Not valid for any resale activity as defined by HP.com. Contract and volume customers are not eligible.
Do I have to provide my email address to become an HP Rewards member?
Yes. Your email address is needed in order to provide you with HP Rewards specific communications that may contain important information about your account, membership or special offers.
What happens after I register?
Soon after you become an HP Rewards member you'll receive a welcome email explaining many of the benefits and features available to you. You will also receive 100 points for joining HP Rewards.
I haven't received my welcome email
If you registered more than a week ago and did not receive your welcome email, please check your junk mail folder. If you still do not see it, please contact customer service at 1-888-999-4747 for assistance. You'll need to provide them with the name and email address you registered with.
Do I have to register to earn points and HP Rewards?
Yes. Only HP Rewards members can earn points and HP Rewards.
Can I earn points for purchases made before I was an HP Rewards member?
Points cannot be earned for purchases made prior to becoming an HP Rewards member.
Do I have to sign-in before making a purchase?
Yes. You must be signed-in to earn points on your eligible purchases.

How do I earn points?
You earn 100 points simply by registering with HP Rewards.

You additionally earn 1 point for every $1 spent on a qualifying HP.com purchase. Qualifying purchases are defined as purchases of products from the following categories:

  • Select Laptops and Desktops
  • Select Printers
  • Business PCs (Elite, Pro and Workstation brands)
  • Select Monitors, Accessories & Carepacks
  • Select Ink, Toner & Paper

To easily find qualifying products, look for the HP Rewards star on the product description page.

This excludes free gift promotions, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, personalized products purchased on store.hp.com, discounts, redemption of HP Rewards, redemption of gift cards, and fees or other excluded charges. Employee Purchase Program (EPP), HP Employee Purchase Program (HPEPP), Private Store, Amazon, eBay or other marketplace program purchases are not eligible. How are points calculated?
Points are calculated on total price after discounts, HP Rewards redemptions, and before taxes, shipping and other fees. The amount is then rounded to the nearest point. As an example, if your sales total before taxes is $299.99, you will earn 300 points.
What is excluded from earning points?
Points are earned on qualifying products on store.hp.com based on the purchase value excluding discounts, redemption of HP Rewards dollars, and redemption of gift cards, fees or other excluded charges. Employee Purchase Program (EPP), HP Employee Purchase Program (HPEPP), Private Store, Amazon, eBay or other marketplace program purchases are not eligible. Not valid for any resale activity as defined by HP.com. Contract and volume customers not eligible.
Do I earn points for the purchase of Gift Cards?
No, purchases of HP.com gift cards are not eligible for points. Points are not earned on purchases made with an HP.com Gift Card.
Do points expire?
Yes. Points will expire 180 days from the time they become “Available” to you. For example:

Product purchase date: January 1, 2023
  • Points are placed in “Pending” status for approximately 36 days
  • Points move from “Pending” to “Available” status on February 6, 2023

Un-used points expire:
  • August 5, 2023


Points expire immediately for members that opt-out of the HP Rewards Program.
Where can I find the status of my points?
You can find the status of your points on the “My HP Rewards” tab, and on your “My Account” page.
How soon after my purchase will I see the points in my account?
Points for qualifying purchases will post 24-72 hours after the qualifying purchase and will reflect as “Pending”. Approximately 36 days after your order ships, “Pending” points will update to “Available” points and will be eligible for redemption. A cancellation or return of a qualifying order will result in a reduction of points for the cancelled or returned items.
What are Pending Points?
Points for qualifying purchases will first be reflected as “Pending.” The points will remain in this status for approximately 36 days after your order ships.
What happens to my points if I make a return?
The points associated with a returned product/purchase will be deducted from your account balance. Should the number of points deducted from your account create a negative balance, future points earned and posted to your account will be applied to the negative balance until the account balance reaches zero. All subsequent points earned will resume accumulating for future Rewards.
What happens if I cancel an order?
Points associated to canceled orders will be deducted from your pending points balance.
What happens if I have 2 accounts? Can my points be merged?
Yes, in the case of having multiple accounts both accounts can be merged so the points can be combined. Contact customer service at 1-888-999-4747 for assistance.

What can I purchase with my HP Rewards?
HP Rewards can be redeemed towards the purchase of any qualifying product. The dollar value of the HP Reward must be less than the purchase price of the qualifying product, minus taxes, shipping costs or other fees.

How do I know the status of my HP Rewards?

How do I redeem my HP Rewards?
Redeeming HP Rewards is easy! Once you’ve earned a Reward you can apply it to a qualifying purchase at checkout. Keep in mind that the dollar value of the HP Reward must be less than the purchase price of the qualifying product, minus taxes, shipping costs or other fees. Please note, your order total cannot be less than $5 after HP Rewards are applied.
Can I use a Reward that is equal to, or greater than, the value of the product being purchased?
No. The dollar value of the HP Reward must be less than the purchase price of the qualifying product, minus taxes, shipping costs or other fees. Please note, your order total cannot be less than $5 after HP Rewards are applied.
Can I use my HP Rewards with another promotional offer?
You cannot combine HP Rewards with Ink & Toner HP.com Store coupons, HP.com Store discounts or non-hp.com promotional offers.
What happens to my HP Rewards if I make a return?
In the event that you return products that were partially or wholly paid for with HP Rewards, the HP Rewards will be re-issued to you for the associated value previously redeemed.
Can I give my Reward to someone else to use?
HP Rewards are not transferable and may only be used by the member to whom they were issued.
